BANGALORE: According to early reports, at least 2 people have been killed and 20 people wounded in a series of blasts in Bangalore. Seven blasts have been reported so far.
According to Bangalore Police Commissioner, Shanker Bidri, seven blasts rocked Bangalore.
The police have confirmed that low intensity crude bombs were triggered by a timer.
The blasts took place at the Madivala bus stop, Hossur road, Adugudi, Koramangla, Mysore Road and Nayadahalli. The blasts happened within a span of 12 minutes.
Bomb disposal squads have reached the blasts sites.
Schools, colleges, cinema halls and commercial complexes have been shut down.
According to IB sources, SIMI and LeT may be behind the Bangalore blasts and they could be retaliatory in nature.

Several persons have been injured in the attack and they have been admitted to the St Johns Hospital in Bangalore, Sent at 3:21 PM on Friday.
One person was killed in seven blasts that rocked Bengaluru and its outskirts on Friday afternoon. While four low-intensity blasts went off at Nayandahalli, Madivala, Adugodi areas on the outskirts, blasts also rocked the tony areas near Mallya Hospital, Langford Road and Richmond Circle in Bengaluru city. Two blasts were reported in Madivala.
